Sticking in 3rd?

So need some help please,got out on my bike today first proper ride this year but not all was well
On up shifts from 3rd it kept sticking in gear not all the time but quite a lot, fine going down through the gears any thoughts on this would be appreciated

First thing to do is remove gear lever from foot peg and clean and lube with light grease or oil then try again and see how it is before looking deeper.

Also, make a conscious effort to get your foot out contact with the lever between changes. Could it just be the lever is in the wrong position for your boots and it doesn't return to it's rest position before you try to change up?
Obvious, I know, but sometimes it's the small things which make a difference.
