Hi folks. Happy new year. No major picture milestones to report I'm afraid. Panels will be painted next week. The cut up swingarm is at fj motorcycles for aqua_vapour_ blasting. The axle blocks are finished and the adjusters are in the cnc shop. All simmering along nicely. Just to whet your appetite here's a pic of the bike my ali. Welder friend is building from scratch...can't wait till he works his magic on the swingarm :-)

A bit of progress. Shiney panels :-) all genuine honda now, just a bit of plastic welding added on the panels I picked up on ebay. How hard is it to get the glue off the back of the decals !!
Skillfully painted by ex tt privateer legend carl rennie. In the loft for safe keeping for some weeks till the swingarm and exhaust are sorted.

Also swingarm back from Mark at fj motorcycles.
http://www.fjaquablasting.co.uk/services.html

Probably the best abrasive cleaning service in the country. He's just concentrated on the front casting, as the rest of the swingarm is getting cut off!! R e as on being it guarantees a cleaner weld, castings can hold micro grease and dirt particles The machines hes got can give a incredibly fine finish compared with traditional sandblasting. You can even blast carb bodies without risk of damage! Back to the swingarm, The rear axle blocks are shown for comparison. I'm welding an aluminium tube through the right side to house the brake hose of the underslung brembo I picked up. Trying to keep it all nice and neat. So Swingarm is now in the jig in the fab shop for the exciting bit!

Some more pieces for the puzzle. Didn't make these myself, just did the drawings. Annoying when I spent 15 years on cnc machinery, but if you've not got the kit you can't do shit..

First side pattern offered up. A few tweaks required to the jig before we completely cut of the existing arm side.
Hopefully the next 2 weeks will see some solid progress.
