Hi there

Well I have only just got my enrollment into the forum and I thought I would post a couple of pics of my little baby. I only got her in June and jeese, is it a different riding experience to the ZZR600 I have been riding for the last 12 years. I have always been in awe of the look and sound of the SP1, ever since I got back into biking after many years out......yes another born again!
Anyway see what you think and no doubt there will be various questions I have in the coming months, as the desire to improve will get the better of me.

This was one of the photos that sold the bike to me. I gambled by buying the bike without even seeing it, let alone test riding......I still can't believe I did it but I am damn glad I took the risk.

The first bike meet I took her to.....Poole Bike Night. I think you might agree but the best V Twin in that pair!

I will have a few pics to add once I have put the old girl back together after I have made good some shoddy electrics where the tail tidy and alarm/imobiliser has been added in the past.

Welcome in Jack. I`ve always been a fan of the Repsol paint scheme. The SP looks good dressed like that

I have got my eye on some Wolf Titanium cans......just need to get a few things squared away before I splash out on them. I think it will set the bike off just right as well as sounding purrrrrfect! :P

Hi mate,

Lovely looking SP! Are you close to Poole then? I go down there quite regularly during the warmer months! I'll have to keep an eye out for your machine from now on :D

Cheers,

Jon.

Cheers Guys

I was working in Hamworthy for 12 months but we have now relocated in Plymouth so I probably won't make the Poole Bike nights so often next summer however, the outlaws live in the New Forrest, so it's not out of the question I will go when I am in the area. I am hoping that I will be able to get to the Paignton bike nights before they fizzle out for the winter months. Not sure if there are any other meets in the Devon area, if anyone can shed some light on it I would appreciate it.

Look forward to hearing from anyone in the know.

Hiya,

Personally I don't think the Paignton meet is much good. Not a particularly good ride to it, the venue, while large enough is a bit, well, old biddy & because of the antics of some dickheads there tends to be a fair Police presence :(
A much better meet is the Plymouth bike night on the Hoe. The venue is far superior (IMO) & sat on the Hoe overlooking Plymouth Sound on a sunny summers evening is hard to beat. Last meet for this year is next Thursday 8-)

Another good place to go is Captain Jaspers on the Barbican, you will ALWAYS find bikes there no matter what time of the day or year, & serve some fantastic burgers :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I know Plymouth fairly well mate as I lived there for nearly 20 years and I can't agree more about the view from the Hoe and good ole Jasper's. My lad now rides and we sometimes meet up there for a chat and a cheeky Jasperiser  . I didn't know about the meet though on a Thursday evening so thanks for that and as for the Paignton meet, I was only going as one of my neighbours had spoken about it and we said we might go one evening. Having only just returned to Plymouth after a few years, I am guessing that it is something that has only come about recently. If I can get my ole girl back together this weekend I may give it a look after work. Is it run on a charity type basis where you pay a quid or so and is actually on the Hoe itself by the memorials or around the seafront area?
