Taken a couple of weeks ago on a blast down to Portugal. Only rain we got was on reaching port at Portsmouth and getting a good lashing for about an hour.

day 1 Jedburgh to Rouen via chunnel
day 2 Rouen to St Emillion
day 3 St Emillion (Bordeaux) to Palencia (leon y castilliya) via lunchstop at San Sebastian
day 4 Palencia to Esposende (50km north of porto)
6 nights in Villa
2 nights in paradores at Puebla De Sanabria and fuente De (Picos de Europa)
Ferry hame from Santander.

Just thought I would share these with you. Big thumbs up for Northern Spain and Portugal very, very good value for money.
