Fork Stanchions

Postby tattie » Fri May 29, 2015 11:34 am

Hi All,
In the next couple of months I will be looking for a set of fork stanchions for the 03 SP1 that I picked up earlier this month.

I had looked in to getting the origonals re-chromed but there can be no guarantee that they will be the same diameter and that will just cause grief with the seals etc.

So if anybody has or knows of any I would appreciate if you could let me know.

Cheers

A.M.

Are they the same as Fireblade (929 model). That might open your search parameters a bit

Hi millsp1 and Pete,
I thought I saw that ones a couple of weeks ago and then they dissapeared.

I will try to contact the seller to get a bit of history, ie are they off a pranged bike etc.

There are a from the states but a lot of dollars + import duty +Vat + postage.

Not sure if the 929 blade units will fit perhaps somebody techy on here might know.

Cheers

A.M.

Just had a look and the leg is tapered on the blad ones and the caliper mounting lugs on the lowers and the adjustment bit on the bottom are different.
