SEAT UNIT

Going to start refitting the seat unit tonight ,is there an easy way to get it back on ?

its just a knack which is hard to explain but it involves stretching the seat unit

it involves much wincing and closing eyes when you think it's gonna snap!

Manual says to remove "unbolt, move rearwards slightly and then lift off while holding apart" or similar, so get it almost as forward as it needs to go and then stretch over the top.

if its a genuine unit they take a lot of abuse, but whatever you do re fit the black plastic bushes where the two fixings are on top. you can change the fixings for normal dome head bolts but the seat will crack if you dont fit the bushes! :thumbup: just pull the unit apart near the lugs underneath, slide it down then forwards. simples :shock:

And remember daniel son, if it doesn't go on first time, take a deep breath!!
I hate doing it. but everytime I'm about to give up and smash it to pieces, I think about a cup of tea and it goes on fine. :thumbup:
