This sounds like a classic case of a person who's ridden in-line4 's most of their riding life. The V-2's are so so different, a whole new ball game. Please don't mistake me, I'm not saying your a noob, definitely not, but having the bike only a year there is a big change in style needed. As has been said, the engine breaking is amazing on the SP's and you need to adapt your riding style to make good advantage of it. Blipping is a must, and then feathering or eazing out the clutch makes for incredible stopping power along side good braided lines and high end double H sintered pads. To be honest, most of my overtaking moves on track are under breaking, the park straight into park corner at Cadwell is perfect for late braking.

Its been commented to me by riding mates that "your brake lights out" but the simple fact is I don't brake anywhere near as much as them on their 4's, just knock it back one and let the V2 lump do the work, it makes for miles of smiles! :D
