refurb and refit

27000 miles now so its time for a full brake refurb and a bit of a re fit. Treated myself to a pair of Accossato radial masters for front brake and clutch and thought i would strip the calipers and overhaul. New seals ordered from David Silver and calipers cleaned as best i could but nothing seems to shift the last bits of grime that make the calipers dull, so they've been sent off to Triple "S" powder coaters along with the brackets. Gold for the calipers and titanium brackets. And ive ordered a vacuum bleeder, some billet reservoirs and an HRC rear reservoir kit. No rush for me now but will post pics when done.

Those Accosato m/cs are beautiful,got a 19/20 brake one recently,fitted it to an MC21,am definitly buying one for the SP1 too!

refitted the fronts and rear calipers and the new Radial master, reservoir and HRC rear reservoir kit. Front still feels a little spongy so i may need to have a short spin to stir them up a bit then re bleed, pretty sure there is still some air in the calipers somewhere. forgot to take close ups of caliper finish but im well pleased. Then i got my son to wash his inheritance as i keep telling him one day :lol:
next is the radial clutch lever and reservoir.

Keep an eye on that HRC hose kit. I had one on mine and it sweated after a couple of weeks . They are only good for race teams who replace them all the time.

thanks for that, fortunately i still have the originals so will swap them back, they obviously haven't used resistant pipe. My mate has fitted one several months back so il ask him.
live and learn :D but now im forgetting things quicker as well.

I put the originals back on mine, fixed! The HRC ones look nice for a bit , but christ it leaked like fook!

originals will go back on if required, and probably will be required. The real interest to me with the HRC kit is the ease of access to the reservoir compared to the stock item which is a PITA to get to with the aftermarket undertail and repositioned electronics. I will try to source some better tubing if it exists :thumbup:

Tygon make some tube that doesnt sweat but it is expensive! Perhaps get a group buy?

found the site, which tube did you have in mind, was looking at the "inert" and the "laboratory" types?

Ah, the 2375 type looks favorite (was 2075) but seems to come in 15 metre lenths for about £130 :shock: so looks like we need 30 SP1/2 owners with HRC rear reservoir kits fitted and more money than sense ;) so thats me in :thumbup: need to check what ID pipe is needed.

Just found this on ebay and ordered one :thumbup:
