Are you sure you need new discs :?: if they're not damaged or under size just try cleaning them with brake cleaner then rub them down with scotch brite, it works for me every time, you should do them at least every thousand miles and certainly when you change pads

Hi All,
I have tried a few different pads over the years and by far the best pads for street use are EBC Double H on stainless steel disc are unreal instant bite and last OK. I have used Brembo pads wouldn't rave about them.
I have done heaps of brake mods also, front and rear systems, I do prefer the Brembo hardware here though.
I'll post something in the future on what I have done regarding brake mods.
Cheers

Leftfield bit of info: Mine came with Bendix pads on- I didn't fit so I don;t know the grade or spec.
They were great, really good initial bite and progressive.

When I had tyres changed the fitter said that the pads were worn and so it was time to change. They only had EBC in so they went on- but I asked for the Bendix pads back as they might be a useful spare in case of pad contamination and I needed to swap in a hurry.

I definitely prefer the Bendix pads, so I'm going to put them back in temporarily to check that my impressions are correct.
If so, I'll try to find some Bendix pads to replace them with, as I'm happy with those.

It would be interesting to do a back-to-back check with some decent road-spec Brembo pads, though.
I have see adverts for Brembo pads offering money back if you aren't convinced that they're the best pads you can get, so when I find that ad, I'll give them a try against the Bendix.
I'm fairly sure it was in Fast Bikes or Performance Bikes. (UK mags)
Bendix's ceramic compound pads are only £29.99 per side, so reasonably priced. And no, I haven't got any interest in the company!
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity
