I did the same. OEM.
The Nissens are just as good as anything I've used and the cost the same,so I haven't experimented with this bike.
Whatever you go for, just make sure the front is double H, sintered pad (sorry, granny suck eggs and all that) ;)

Ok guys thanks for the feedback, there must be something wrong with my pads then as ive had braided lines put on over winter and the brakes are woeful. Its funny though as I see Pete you mentiond your fork seal leaked and put fluid on the pads, my seals did not appear to leak that far but wondering if they have some residue hindering the stopping power?

Dave how do you get on with that set up as i like the look of those discs?

Okay, so now I've got a stiffy. Thanks nobody

Goose. A bit of white spirit will clean any oil off the discs but I would be suspicious of the new lines and a trapped bit of air somewhere first. Also, if the calliper pistons had a lot of dirt around them it could be partially blocking the brake seals if they were just rammed back into the callipers without cleaning.

Nobody thats an awesome set up and not out of the realms of possibility.

Pete the calipers have never been rebuilt (maybe part of the problem) and the feel at the lever is bang on its just the fact that the pads dont seem to do anything and its the same as before i put the lines on.

The white spirit, will that leave any residue that will harm the braking or will it just evaporate?
