What would cause the engine to surge on a constant throttle

I'm currently thinking fueling issues (crap from inside the tank blocking something).

Not sure what else would cause it though, any suggestions?

Air filters? Dirty fuel filter? Blocked air intake? Faulty air sensor? Faulty tps?

No idea when they were last balanced, however I'd be more inclined to think something in the fuel lines as it only started after a bike shop changed the tyres, to do which the lifted the front quite high whilst the rear was braced. (which I suppose might cause crap that was potentially in the tank to shift around).

I'll have a play in a couple of weeks when I get time
