Air Solenoid routing question

Postby steelsey » Thu Sep 13, 2012 8:54 pm

I need some guidance as to the where the hoses go on the air Solenoid! I'm currently putting my 2000 SP1 back together and seem to have a remaining hose coming from the solenoid that has no home! I looked in the manual and it doesn't show the location for each pipe! Could some guide me on this one? On the picture the top hose is the one without a home, the one bellow is attached to the air inlet and the vertical one at the bottom is attached to the vacuum pump. I've not altered the pipes in anyway as this is how it was when I bought it from the previous moron.... From what I can gather judging from the book, is that it is currently wrong! but the book doesn't make much sense and the illustrations are hard to view on my PDF copy..... Help!

firstly just rip it all out  and then fill in the spouts on the cylinder head covers. but if you really want to keep it then two of the pipes go the cylinder heads and the third to the drain in the bottom of the airbox so that it can inject pressurised air into the exhaust port area.

this link should make it clearer ;)

What? Seriously? I don't think I want to go that far with mine just yet, well not until I ride the dam thing before winter. I just want to keep it standard for the time being and find out exactly where the bloody pipes go :angry-banghead:

this was just to show you where the pipes go, i agree that you should leave the flapper in unless youre getting it mapped with a PC. Remove the PAIR system though cus thats shite
