AIS block off plates

Postby turbo_billy » Thu Jun 28, 2012 8:48 pm

Has anyone on here done the mod to remove the Air Induction System fittings from the rocker covers and fit the block off plates instead?
Is it as simple as removing the stubs, hoses etc and blocking of the outlets or is a bit more involved?
Cheers for any info.

Hi Tim, it is quite easy just to remove the hoses and block off the stubs with epoxy like JB weld or similar, or even a hose cap if you can find one. Much neater is to fit the blank plates sold on Ebay or i made my own! But you will need to use the gasket thats joined to the reed plate, to do this you will need to remove the screw/ rivet heads that stand proud. You will see what i mean when you take the covers off as these heads stop the blank plates from sitting properly. See this link

good luck

Have already ordered the block off plates from the States so will fit when they arrive.
Thanks again.
